Teaching type with clarity and precision

Cerebrona Oasia started in 2023 when a group of designers realized that web typography education needed more structure. Most courses taught trends without explaining the mechanics underneath.

We focus on teaching how letterforms behave in digital environments. Our lectures break down spacing, rhythm, and hierarchy through direct observation rather than abstract principles.

How do we decide what to teach?

We use a simple framework to evaluate every topic before it enters our curriculum. This keeps content focused on what actually improves typographic decisions.

Fundamental spacing rules, contrast ratios, and rendering behavior. These affect every project immediately and compound over time.

Advanced refinement

Optical adjustments, custom font loading strategies, and performance optimization. Important for mature projects but not essential at the start.

Browser-specific rendering quirks and temporary workarounds. We address these when they block progress but avoid building courses around them.

Experimental territory

Emerging variable font features and experimental CSS properties. We monitor these but wait until browser support stabilizes before including them.
